Resolution Provides Audio Postproduction, Sound Design on Sharon Gless Film, Hannah Free

Hannah Free is a feature-length film that stars Sharon Gless in the title role. The story revolves around Hannah and Rachel who grew up as little girls in the same small Midwest town, where traditional gender expectations eventually challenge their deep love for one another. The film reveals how the women maintained their love affair despite a marriage, a world war, infidelities, and family denial.

The Sound Department at Resolution Digital Studios provided all the post production audio services for the film, working closely with Sound Supervisor and Composer, Martie Marro. In addition to providing the score for the film, Martie also worked with Resolution’s team, Bryen Hensley and Steve Maslan on the sound design, Foley, dialog editing, and the final theatrical mix. Bryen Hensley was the Rerecording mixer and Steve Maslan provided Sound Design.

Directed by Wendy Jo Carlton, and produced by long time Resolution client, Sharon Zurek, Hannah Free was shot in HD for distribution in worldwide theatrical and ancillary markets. It continues to be recognized with awards, including the 2009 Philadelphia Q-Fest Audience Award for Best Feature, and the 2009 Austin G&L Film Fest, Audience Award for Best Feature.
